CUSTODY TRANSFER & FISCAL SAMPLING

SAMPLEX inLINE

Automatic Sampling System in Line

Request a Quote

An automatic inline sampling system is ideal for process pipelines ranging from 4” to 52”. It uses an inline insertion-type sampling probe, with the option to integrate a mixing system. The sampling probe is designed to operate under inline conditions and is ideal for systems that require crude oil or refined product sample collection, provided the mechanical conditions are optimal for proper operation.

The sampling probe is inserted into the central third of the main pipeline and is available in both fixed and retractable mounting versions. The product sample is captured and discharged by positive displacement through a small-diameter pipe with a downward gradient (to prevent water traps) into a sample receiver.

The sample receiver can be housed within a protected cabinet that allows the storage of multiple sample receivers, integrated with a weighing system and various solenoid valves for controlling sample container changes and ensuring safety. The SAMPLEX™ weighing system continuously measures the weight of each receiver throughout the batch to calculate the sampling system’s performance, as specified in ISO 3171 / ASTM D4177.

The system is integrated with a sampling controller, which—based on flow signals—regulates the proportional collection of samples according to the flow in the sampling system.
