Automatic Sampling Systema Fast-Loop
The SAMPLEX™ loop sampling systems are designed to achieve higher accuracy and lower uncertainty when obtaining representative samples. A Fast-Loop sampling system provides highly precise sampling across a wide range of fluids, with reduced measurement uncertainty and greater accuracy than traditional inline sampling systems.
Each SAMPLEX™ loop-type sampling system features a 1” or 2” recirculation circuit that pumps in parallel with the main pipeline. The loop size is determined during the design phase to maximize sample representativeness and ensure sufficient velocity to maintain sample homogeneity within the automatic sampling system.
SAMPLEX™ loop sampling systems can be designed for process pipelines ranging from 4” to 52” in diameter and can be installed on the pipeline using fixed or retractable nozzles for hot-tap installations. The main components of the SAMPLEX™ loop sampling system are mounted inside an enclosure available in different construction materials. The cabinet includes bypass features that allow easy isolation and maintenance of equipment without interrupting product recirculation in the loop.
If necessary, the cabinet can be heated and configured to contain multiple sample receivers, which can be switched automatically or manually. The system also includes a SAMPLEX™ WS20 weighing system for the sample containers, which continuously monitors sampling system performance. The sample containers are portable and can be taken to the laboratory, where they can be remixed using an appropriate mixing system before analysis.
A flowmeter signal is used to regulate the sampling system’s flow rate proportionally, ensuring accurate and consistent sample collection.
All SAMPLEX™ sampling systems are designed according to international sampling standards and are built and integrated in compliance with local regulations, as specified in ISO 3171 / ASTM D4177. The system includes a sampling controller that uses flow signals to regulate sample collection proportionally to the process flow in the sampling system.
